We developed different types of Reports with analysis of health information, and productive of results.

This project, led by Aquabench® since 2013, emerged in response to the increase in the caligidosis in Aysen, involving 14 companies that account for 90% of the salmon industry. He has coordinated anti-parasitic treatment more effective and developed studies on the dose of hydrogen peroxide, distribution of drugs and behavior of caligus. It has also assessed non-drug alternatives, promoting sustainable solutions and eco-friendly for the control of this disease.

El Proyecto Control de SRS, iniciado por Aquabench® en 2015, busca reducir las prevalencias de SRS y el uso de antibióticos en la industria salmonera, contando con la participación de 12 empresas que representan el 80% del sector. En tres años, ha impulsado acuerdos dentro del Plan de Reducción de Antibióticos y avances en estrategias productivas y de tratamiento. Esto ha proporcionado herramientas clave para disminuir la mortalidad por SRS y mejorar la gestión productivo-sanitaria en la industria.

Melanosis muscle occurs primarily in the Atlantic salmon, generating significant economic losses for the industry. In 2022, Aquabench® launched a project with 9 companies (70% of the national production) to characterize this condition, to identify associated factors and to develop measures to reduce its incidence through collaborative research and epidemiological studies.

Este proyecto nació por el impacto que tiene la salud branquial sobre los peces y la necesidad de tener un seguimiento estandarizado entre las distintas compañías. Actualmente es integrado por 5 empresas, con las cuales se coordinan reuniones técnicas continuas para evaluar el estatus branquial y condiciones asociadas, como son los niveles de oxígeno, temperatura del agua, microflora, microfauna, entre otras. Los análisis estadísticos de la data también ayudan a las empresas en tomar decisiones estratégicas, en como elegir el mejor momento para iniciar un tratamiento o aplicación de una dieta protectiva.
Proyecto Yelcho
- Proyecto que nació el año 2023
- Dirigido a buscar soluciones efectivas contra SRS y disminuir uso de antibióticos
- A inicios del 2024 se firmó Alianza Yelcho con SAG, Sernapesca, Salmonchile y Consejo del Salmon.
- Scouting continuo en busca de nuevas soluciones para SRS
11 empresas productoras solicitaron gestionar este proyecto a Aquabench®, en base a la metodología colaborativa que utiliza la empresa en estas iniciativas. El proyecto también cuenta con un experimentado director en el entorno de las farmacéuticas, David Farcas y un comité técnico-científico compuesto por directores técnicos de las distintas compañías y científicos de renombre como Alexis Kalergis, director del Instituto Milenium. Tras un intenso proceso de scouitng para identificar nuevas farmacéuticas que puedan incorporar soluciones que prevengan SRS, actualmente Yelcho está próximo a iniciar ensayos experimentales para probar nuevas vacunas y realizar seguimiento de estas en campo.
Audits and Biosecurity
Since 2007, we optimize the biosafety in the salmon farming through technical audits. With our experience and technology, we identify and mitigate health risks, improving the efficiency and sustainability of their operations. Our detailed analyses will allow you to make informed decisions to ensure the continuity of your business.
Farms
It consists of an analysis of the biosecurity conditions of the facilities or units of production by performing an audit of the processes of cleaning and disinfection. Our services in this area are related to: Certification of ovas; Biosecurity general of facilities, processes of vaccination; compliance health/ environmental; critical processes productive and compartmentalization EU.
Maritime transport
In trucks, and ships. The audit covers two processes, one at the structural level that determines the existence of suitable conditions for the transfer of the fish. Our services have to do with: biosecurity structural; cleaning and disinfection; diagnosis prior to transport; water replacement truck; load reports of water vessels; follow-up transfer of fish and audit of boats of food.
Centers of grow-out
The services associated with this stage are related to the following activities: biosafety general installations; baths parasitic, traditional and wellboats, audit of gill; processes of vaccination, biosecurity suppliers and audits animal welfare and management.
Transfer to crop Plants and Processes
We perform audits to follow-up transfer of fish, and in addition to food safety in plants.
