Recirculating systems (RAS)

According to the information provided by the Universidad Austral de Chile, recirculation systems (RAS) are nowadays used to produce 60% of the smolts of Atlantic salmon in chile and is expected to reach 100% by 2025.

“The production of Atlantic salmon in RAS, has been shown to be feasible in fresh water up to commercial size of 5 kg, showing that these systems are in full development,” indicating from the university.
