While the volume of production is similar (20% less) has a huge potential for development and growth. They currently produce more than 800 thousand tons of fish culture, by being the half of this volume, the production of tilapia. Nuestro Gerente de\u00a0Aquabench particip\u00f3 en esta feria donde pudo interiorisarse del avance en el desarrollo de esa industria \u00abLa acuicultura en Brasil presenta diferencias importantes a lo que conocemos en Chile. Si bien el volumen de producci\u00f3n es similar (un 20% menor) tiene un enorme potencial de desarrollo y crecimiento. Ellos actualmente producen m\u00e1s de 800 mil toneladas de peces de cultivo, siendo la mitad de este volumen la producci\u00f3n de tilapia. El resto son peces nativos. La mayor parte de esta producci\u00f3n se destina a mercado interno. Una diferencia importante es que la producci\u00f3n es muy atomizada en muchas empresas peque\u00f1as y cooperativas de productores. a diferencia de Chile donde los actores son pocos y se han ido consolidando.
